After chatting online, Bohdan & Michelle met in Pennsylvania for a tryout to become ballroom dance partners in October 2023. Right away, they both felt they connected extremely well in terms of goals, mindset, musicality, and artistry. After a second tryout in Michelle’s hometown of San Francisco, they decided to start a dance partnership to pursue their shared goals and dreams together. It was the beginning of a very exciting and successful dance partnership! So far, Bohdan & Michelle have become one of the top Amateur Ballroom couples in the United States, most recently placing 2nd at the U.S. Amateur Nationals. They have also placed well at important competitions in the US, including New York Dance Festival, Emerald Ball, Embassy Ball, and Ohio Star Ball. More importantly though, Bohdan & Michelle found in each other true comfort, genuine friendship, and blossoming love. From working together to create magic on the dance floor to making their new home more warm and comfortable to taking walks together wherever they traveled, Bohdan & Michelle found happiness in the little things of their life together. On November 10th, 2024, Bohdan proposed to Michelle in Central Park, one of his favorite places that soon became one of Michelle’s favorites too. And now, they will tie the knot with close family at the City Clerk’s Office in Manhattan on May 8th, 2025 — a true New York City dream come true! They plan to do a larger celebration with all friends & family on May 8th, 2027 in the San Francisco Bay Area — a love story to be continued… save the date!
