Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, formal attire is required.

Can I bring a date?

We ask that there are no plus ones, whoever’s name is on the invite is who is allowed to come.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

We ask that everyone arrives by 5:00 PM. Cocktail hour will start at 5 followed by the ceremony at 6:00 PM. The reception will begin right after the ceremony.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The venue offers valet parking and there is also a paid garage lot a block away from the venue.

Is there transportation to the venue?

Answer

There will not be transportation provided, the venue is located .5 mile from the hotel. If you need help with arranging transport please let me or Ari know and we will be happy to assist.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors/outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are indoors.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Since the reception is banquet style the food is a preselected menu, but if given enough advanced notice we can do our best to take any food allergies into consideration.

Can I give a gift at the wedding?

Answer

Yes absolutely, we ask that all gifts are monetary. We do not have a registry.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No, please leave your little ones at home. We are having a child free wedding, no children under the age of 14.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

If you go to the Travel section of the website there is a hotel block reserved for our guests at the Best Western, please call the hotel to receive the discount pricing using code "Mahowald Wedding".

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that RSVP's are sent in by April 15th, if you need an extension on that please reach out to let me know.

When do I need to reserve the hotel by?

Answer

We have the block reserved until November 16th, if you do not reserve your room by then you will lose the ability to use the discount code and will have to pay full price.

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes, during the reception only. You will find liquor of choice on your tables. There will not be any alcohol served during the cocktail hour.

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that during the ceremony you keep your phones put away and on silent. We have a videographer and photographer that will capture the ceremony.

Will there be religious or cultural traditions we should be aware of?

Yes, this will be a Russian Jewish wedding.

Will there be assigned seating or open seating?

Answer

During the ceremony there will not be assigned seating. For the reception there will be assigned seating.

This is a pet free wedding, please make proper accommodations for your furry family members.
