FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we’ve listed here, please reach out to Michelle, +1 (815) 342-5954, or Allen, +1 (410) 949-5707.
Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please be our 'Something Blue' and wear semi-formal/cocktail attire in any shade of blue. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! They will pick us up at 12:00 noon from the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Baltimore Downtown/Inner Harbor, 101 S President St, Baltimore, MD 21202. While we are in the Courthouse, they will park nearby and secured if you want to leave anything on the bus. They will drop us off no later than 4:45 pm at dinner, Ouzo Bay, 1000 Lancaster St, Baltimore, MD 21202.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Why don't you have a Wedding Party?

Answer

We feel very blessed to have a lot of important people in our lives. We have planned an intimate wedding, and we want everyone who is there to participate equally. Additionally, with our commitment to ourselves, friends, and families living abundant lives, we want to eliminate the expectations & costs associated with being a bridesmaid/groomsman.

Question

What is special about the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. Courthouse?

Answer

In 1885, Baltimore City set out to build the most beautiful Courthouse in the country. Fifteen years, and $2.2 million later ($56 million adjusted for inflation), that goal was realized. On January 6, 1900, the Baltimore Sun reported that the City of Baltimore had built a “temple of justice, second to no other in the world.” Today, this main building is referred to as the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. Courthouse in honor of the local lawyer and nationally respected civil rights leader. In addition, the Courthouse is home to one of the oldest private law libraries in the country, and to the Museum of Baltimore Legal History. The Calvert Street exterior façade is especially outstanding, as it displays eight of the largest monolithic columns in the world, each weighing over 35 tons and measuring over 35 feet in height. Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, we will take a group photo inside the courthouse. Then, Michelle & Allen will take individual photos with each of the guests, if you'd like. Once you've got your picture with the couple, feel free to wander the beautiful architecture or grab a drink on the bus! We will depart back to dinner no later than 4:15 pm.

Question
