Please be comfortable yet formal. We ask that you reserve the color white for the bride and not wear all black as you would to a funeral. There is no requirement or recommendation for masks. The ceremony will be inside First Baptist Church following a semi-traditional Christian wedding.
There is no limit to how many people can attend the ceremony. The entire congregation of FBC is invited, and friends and plus ones are welcome. For the reception, however, unless specified on your invitation, we will not have enough seating or meals for everyone if friends are brought. The caterer has to know well in advance who is attending, and we appreciate your understanding.
You may mail/ship your gift directly to Michelle & Adam’s home address of: 1413 Tyler Ave / Altoona, PA 16602. There will be a gift table and card box available as well.
You may call or text Michelle at 570-430-4639 or Adam at 814-934-5199. You can also message either of us via Facebook Messenger. You may suggest 1-2 songs per invite. Suggestions will be reviewed and considered, and we cannot guarantee everyone's song(s) will be played. But we would love to hear some suggestions!
We will not be providing any alcohol. The toast will be with sparkling apple grape juice, and all children and minors may partake in it. We cannot be responsible for the type of behavior alcohol can lead to and ask that everyone is sober and has a great time! If you wish to drink, please do so between the ceremony and reception or afterwards in a responsible manner, and do not bring any alcoholic beverage into the church or reception venue.
You don't have to! As new homeowners, any gift cards or cash are helpful too. The registries are only for reference so guests have a general idea what is needed, and so people do not give the same items.
We will be having a buffet style dinner. The main courses are herb chicken and stuffed shells. On the side, we will have also have roasted red potatoes, California blend, green beans, and dinner rolls. Hors d'oeuvres will also be provided and available at 4pm. These include a variety of dips with chips, pretzels, and a fruit and veggie tray. We will have a cookie table and traditional wedding cake for dessert. For drinks, there will be plenty of water, coffee, and punch.
We will have dancing right after dinner. For the sake of space, we will need to fold up a few tables to make the dance floor big enough. We have DJs, and we hope everyone will have fun! Even if dancing isn't really your thing, we would love to have everyone let loose a bit and have fun! If you don't want to dance, there will be plenty of room outside to talk, and the grounds at the Lodge are HUGE! Plenty of space to do just about anything outside.
