It all began unexpectedly. May of 2015 we were introduced by a mutual friend. Where did we meet? Let's be honest, what do we enjoy the most, friends and drinks! Yes, we met a sports bar near USF (Wednesday's College Night). Nikko turned on his charm, by making conversation and of course dancing. (He has killer moves 😂). We danced to Latin music & I can’t lie, I was interested. We wanted to hang out more, and Nikko kept coming around to game nights, pool parties, and Sunday Fundays. That summer my sorority and his fraternity were inseparable, so we saw a lot of each other (hey, i'm not complaining lol ). We became official two months later, and well we haven't let go since. The relationship was a fresh of breath air. Little did we know how many mutual friends we had from back home and the rest is history!
A trip to our favorite place, New York City! A weekend trip get away since Michelle was in her 4th quarter of nursing school. Nikko was going to NYC for a wedding, so we decided to make it a weekend trip. Michelle flew out Friday night after a long day of clinicals and the plane was delayed by 3 hours, she called and said she was just going to go home because she was tired (Thankfully she didn't and still came to NYC). The next day, we rode bikes across the Brooklyn Bridge and then went ice skating with people dearest to our hearts. After a few hours of ice skating and having a great time, we stepped off the ice and BOOM. Nikko is on one knee, and I have no idea what is going on. I was at a loss of words, of course I SAID YES! The scenery, timing, and surprise was beautiful and our amazing friends Stephanie and Edwin caught it all on camera <3 My hallmark movie dream became a reality!
