Morgan and Michelle met while both working at the West End Tennis club. Morgan loves to tell the story of how he remembers their first conversation. While working the kids club for the summer, Morgan would make lemonade for the kids in the upstairs bar. For her breaks, Michelle would try to hide in a small section of tables behind the bar and read. While sitting there one sunny Southern California day, he asked if she would like some lemonade. In complete shock that he was actually speaking to her, Michelle just said "No thank you!" in a weird squeaky voice. Nearly 8 years later, Morgan still teases her about this. As the year went on, Morgan worked the front desk and Michelle was usually the manager on staff at the same time. They quickly became friends and found themselves talking more to each other about things they rarely said to others. After about a year, Morgan's shifts just happened to start being on the same days as hers (this had nothing to do with the fact Michelle was in charge of scheduling). This serendipitous scheduling ended up working out in the end though when he kissed her in the parking lot of West End at the end of their very last shift together, starting the domino reaction of over 6 years and forever of friendship, love, and laughter.
Nearly 6 years later, 3 of which included long-distance, Morgan took Michelle to the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes. The glass chapel holds a special place in Michelle's heart as it is where she and her brother were baptized. It was also where her grandparents were married in 1959, who went on to have a beautiful and happy marriage. Morgan knew what the chapel meant to her, but unfortunately, they would never be able to afford to have their own wedding there. But Morgan still wanted it to be apart of their story. He got their closest friends together and took Michelle to the side of the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island, where the chapel sits, and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After what felt like 5 minutes to Morgan (even though it was probably 15 seconds) Michelle remembered that she actually had to give an answer (having been in shock that it was actually happening), and said: "Yes, of course!" They are so excited to have all of their family, friends, and loved ones coming to Forever & Always Farm to help celebrate their commitment to each other and God as they take this next amazing step together. Let's party!
