Our Happily Ever After

Hard to believe we've been together for 4 years, but it all began in the hallways of the ICU. Picture this: new RN stuck like glue to her nurse preceptor following her around the ICU to learn everything she possibly could and not miss a thing. Little did she know...she caught the eye of a young PTA while walking with his patients down the hall. He decided to stay a little later than his shift ended just to catch her alone and ask her out, but it kinda took a while.... Finally, after almost a month of looking for the right time he saw her standing alone by bed 206 .... that's when he saw his opportunity and got the nerve to go ask her out on a date. She said.......... YES! and that's when their love story began...

Their first big trip abroad was coming up, and they were extremely excited to explore Europe. Explain to me how someone can lug around and hide a beautiful engagement ring in his suitcase over the course of 2 weeks while traveling all over Europe I have no idea, but he did it! He kept it a secret up until the very end of the Europe vacation when we reached our final destination....Paris. The next feat was passing it through security at the bottom of the Eiffel tower without the bride noticing. She definitely noticed the nerves building up as they were ascending up to the top of the tower, but she just figured it was from his fear of heights. Little did she know he was about to ask someone a very important question..... As they reached the top they looked for a good photo spot, and once they found it he asked some girls to take a photo of them. She thought it was weird that he was taking off his backpack for a simple photo op. She suddenly realized it was not so simple when he turned around holding a little white box. He walked over to her and got down on one knee while speaking of his love for her, and those four little or should I say BIG words came out of his mouth....WILL YOU MARRY ME? And what did she say? YES of course! and they celebrated on the top of the Eiffel tower with tears running down their cheeks surrounded by their new travel friends and some champagne when they reached the bottom. The best part?....her parents already knew about it because he had already asked them before the trip! No wonder her mom kept telling her to wear a nice dress to go see the monument earlier that day? BEST... DAY... EVER.
