How we met

First comes school, then comes marriage

They met during their second semester of college. They were in the same science class along with Matthew, Michelle's brother in-law. Now, this is not really were their story truly begins but it is always a funny piece to tell. As Matt and Kurtis became closer friends Kurtis asked Matt if he thought it was a good idea to ask Michelle out... Matts response was "NO". We continued as just friends, because Matt is a touch intimidating and Kurtis didn't want to overstep any boundaries.

The Proposal

Keeping it hidden

Most of us know that Kurtis and Michelle spend a majority of their time together. This made planning the proposal without her finding out a hard task. With the assistance of their best friend Tesa, and an abundance of emails and google documents they planned out the perfect way for him to pop the question. Kurtis Booked a trip, and sent the plan in motion. He told Michelle they were going to Gulf Shores Alabama, and that they were taking Atlas (the dog) with! How could she say no to going to the beach with her pup? A few months later The day for the trip came. She had packed everything up and was ready to go when the first surprise of the trip showed up! Tesa was coming along. (This is where Michelle became a bit suspicious of the plan). When they arrived down at Gulf shores Kurtis claimed to have another surprise for both Michelle and Tesa, a fancy dinner. Kurtis had Michelle put on a blindfold and led her to the "restaurant" when she took of the blindfold she saw the beautiful Swift-Coles Historic Home and Kurtis ready to get down on one knee. Obviously Michelle Said yes, and Tesa was there to capture the moment!
