Game Time

There is no telling how many times we have crossed each other’s paths since childhood. We knew the same people. We went all the same places. We both said Happy Birthday to the same friend one day and started talking. We went on 3 dates in 5 days and it was immediately comfortable.

On a weekend getaway to Nashville for a Chiefs game, after a beautiful dinner, Darren led the way for the group to walk to the riverfront. He got down on one knee with a view of the river and Nissan stadium behind him. I said “of course”. The group and a random bachelorette party nearby cheered.
