Cooper and Michelle first met during the summer of 2017. Their relationship started with sweet ice cream dates and fun weekend concerts. Following a casual start, they quickly became more serious and were thrown into a long-distance relationship that involved a couple of hours of driving most weekends to be able to spend time together.
After a year of distance, Cooper moved back home and the two were able to spend more time together and to create many more memories. Some of their favorite memories include their trip to the Rocky Mountains and an (extremely!) early morning of hot air ballooning in the valley of the Rocky Mountains, they are also very fond of their memories of Cooper teaching Michelle how to snowboard during a family winter vacation (Michelle still can’t snowboard).
However, the couple’s favorite memory is the one that officially started their road to happily ever after. On December 26, 2019, after spending the Christmas holidays with Michelle’s family in Texas, the two made the long drive back to Kansas City. When the two were finally able to have a private moment and exchange Christmas present, Cooper saw his opportunity and he dropped down to one knee and popped the question… and Michelle said YES! Now after nearly 3 years, the happy couple cannot wait to tie the knot and start their happily ever after!
