As much as we love your kids (yes, yours specifically!) Redbird requires us to keep this event 21+ Thanks for your understanding.
Absolutely. Yes. As of November 2021, the city of Los Angeles requires anyone entering a restaurant to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19. This applies to the staff and vendors as well. Please send us proof of your vaccination by the RSVP deadline of January 3rd, 2022. You can email a photo of your vaccination card to MChesterNelson@gmail.com. Thank you playing your part and keeping everyone safe.
We know all you beautiful nerds want to dress up, so costumes - a hold over from the original Halloween plan - are still appropriate and encouraged. Any cowards who come costumeless will be welcomed, so long as they are in semi-formal attire. A note for anyone wearing heels: the garden paths are gravel, so a stiletto might not be your best choice.
The late, great Jonathan Gold was one of Matt's favorite food writers, and he wrote a rapturous review of the place in 2015. That led us to Redbird for Matt's 33rd birthday where we fell in love with the place - and the food!
Depends! Generally highs in the mid 60s, lows in the 40s. We'll be doing an evening ceremony in the garden, followed by dinner outside. Heaters will be available on site. Dancing will be inside. You may want layers.
If you're staying at the Biltmore Hotel, we're providing a shuttle bus to and from the venue for the event. For the rest of the trip...public transit in this city is famously not great. (Watch "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" for an accurate and in-depth history lesson.) However, if you're staying with us in Downtown LA, our subway and light rail system might be your best option. There are also plenty of bikeshare stations. Go to metro.net for more info!
