That’s right! We’ll be exchanging private vows in Big Sur a few days before the ranch celebration. At the ranch, we’ll have a beautiful Buddhist ceremony and we're saving some wedding traditions to experience when we’re all together. Can’t wait to celebrate with you!
The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. Please bring a fabulous jacket for the evening!
Ranch Semi-formal (semi-formal with western flair!) Cowboy hats and boots are encouraged. For men, no ties are necessary (unless it's a bolo tie!). For women, midi, maxi length dresses, or dressy separates. Wear sturdy shoes (the ranch is dusty and features uneven terrain) and bring a layer for when the sun sets. We love dressy western wear, but please just wear whatever you feel confident in!
We recommend staying close to the ranch to minimize driving. There are home rentals and hotels in Soledad, Salinas and Monterey for all budgets, check out the "Travel" section for suggestions. Reach out to Michelle and Bryan if you need help brainstorming.
Yes, in fact, we encourage you to drive to the wedding! We won't be offering a shuttle — the ranch is a 2-mile drive up a dirt road. There will be plenty of free valet parking. Please check out the "Travel" section for rental car discounts. We highly recommend renting a car so you can explore Monterey County and Big Sur while you’re here!
Yes, if you are flying in, we recommend getting a rental car to explore the area! There is so much to do in Monterey County.
If your invitation includes someone by name, they’re invited! If not, we’re keeping it to just the folks listed on the invite. Thanks for understanding!
No, sorry!
Everyone!
The ranch is awesome - and we're so thankful that Janet and Curtis have allowed us to host our wedding at their home. Please be prepared for dust, grass, hay, uneven terrain, and animals! All barn animals will be gated away from the ceremony and reception (but let us know if you want to see them....)
