Hotel
Arrangements have been made for our guests to have a room reserved at Casa Bakal for the weekend of the wedding with a special price. For those of you that have confirmed interest in staying at the venue, your rooms have been set aside. Flight
There is an airport in Chetumal (the city closest to Bacalar), but it is a very small airport. The easiest is to fly to Cancun and rent a car there to drive to Bacalar, it usually takes around 3 1/2 hours to drive down to Bacalar. A second option for people who don't want to drive is to take take a taxi or bus to the Cancun Bus Station. There are buses that leave from the airport approximately every 30 minutes. From Cancun Bus Station you can get on a bus to Bacalar. The bus is around 5 hours and makes stops in Playa del Carmen and Tulum before stopping in Bacalar, there won't be a car rental place in Bacalar since it's a small town so if you're planning on driving, Cancun Airport is the place to rent the car.
House Or Rental
There are multiple airbnb houses and rooms along the Costera (lake view) in Bacalar for those of you that would prefer to sleep and stay in a more quiet place than the hotel/venue where the wedding will be.
