FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests arrive at the venue promptly at 5:00 PM. Keep in mind that it's a Friday, and with Ryder Cup traffic (thanks, golfers), travel may take longer than usual.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting formal dress code for the evening. For men, this means suits, tuxedos, or dress pants with a tie or bow tie. For women, floor length gowns, elegant cocktail dresses or dressy jumpsuits are appropriate. We encourage everyone to dress to impress - if you're unsure, it's always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed! Wear whatever color you would like, but please no white.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We've decided to keep our wedding small and personal, so we are only inviting those we know and love. Plus ones are not included, and the name of every invited guest is included on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding as we celebrate with our closest circle of family and friends.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, we really do! However, we respectfully request no little ones on this night. We hope you take this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun date night!

Question

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoor - weather permitting - and will take place on grass so please be cautious wearing heels. The cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors.

Question

Is everything in one place?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be held at the venue. Please note that the cocktail hour will take place in two separate rooms, each offering its own unique selection of food (and yes, it's worth trying both!). Be sure to mingle, sample the offerings in each space, and take in the beauty of the mansion while you explore!

Question

Will the ceremony be unplugged?

Answer

Yes — we kindly ask that you turn off and put away your phones, tablets, drones, GoPros, and any other paparazzi gear during the ceremony. We promise it’s not because we don’t love your photography skills — it’s just that we’ve hired an amazing professional whose one job is to capture all the magic (and we’d love to see your lovely faces, not your phones, in the pictures). So please sit back, be present with us, and let your eyes soak in the moment. We’ll share the beautiful photos soon after — pinky promise!

Question

Can I park overnight?

Answer

The venue does allow overnight parking; however, they prefer that cars are not left overnight. If you plan to leave your vehicle, please let us know at least one week in advance, including the make and model of your car so we can notify the venue. Vehicles must be picked up by 11:00 AM the following morning. Please note that if you intend to leave your car overnight, you should self-park rather than use valet. That said, we kindly encourage everyone to plan ahead and arrange safe transportation to and from the celebration. Your safety is our top priority and we want everyone to enjoy the night without worry!

Question

Is there a hotel block for the night of the wedding?

Answer

Ah yes - the stars have aligned and we'll be sharing our wedding week with the Ryder Cup (lucky us). Because of this, hotel availability near the venue has been, well…. more challenging than making par on a windy day. For our out-of-town loved ones, we've secured a block of rooms at the voco Fiorello - LaGuardia East by IHG, which is about 30 minutes from the venue (without traffic). Unfortunately, this was the closest hotel that would allow us to secure a block. Please navigate to the 'Travel' section of our website for more information and the link to secure your reservation. ** You may find additional availability by checking nearby hotels individually, as there may be closer options outside of the designated hotel block. ** When traveling to the venue, please plan for extra time to account for traffic - we'd hate for anyone to miss the ceremony because of a rogue detour or a golf-related traffic jam. Thanks for understanding, and we're so sorry for the inconvenience (we blame golf)!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation, including shuttle services to and from the hotel, will not be provided. We kindly ask guests to plan their own transportation to and from the venue. Please carpool, use a rideshare service, or arrange a designated driver as needed - we want everyone to travel safely and stress-free!
