Jacob was studying landscape architecture at University of Idaho and Michele was going to vet school at Washington State when they met at a rugby party in Pullman. They dated for about a year and a half before they both graduated in 2014. They endured long distance for a year while Jacob worked in Blackfoot Idaho and Michele completed an internship. In July of 2015 they moved to Australia together, where they had many adventures. In Spring of 2018 they decided to move back to the states. They quit their jobs, said goodbye to their Aussie friends, and moved to Spokane, WA where Jacob works at Riverfront Park and Michele works as an equine veterinarian. They have two cats named Loki and Swanson. On Christmas Day, 2018 Jacob proposed and Michele said yes.
