Chain of Lakes

See why they call Minnesota the "Land of Ten Thousand Lakes." Lake Bde Maka Ska and nearby Lake of the Isles are beautiful spots for a walk or picnic.

Grab a beer at one of our favorite local breweries. If you need a change of scenery, downtown is full of local breweries, including Indeed BrewCo, Modist, and Clockwerks. If you're up for a drive, Surly's Brewery and Bauhaus are not to be missed.

Mall of America

The Mall of America is about an hour from the Loews hotel by train, but there's plenty to do once you're there. The Mall of America is the twelfth largest mall in the world, and includes an amusement park, aquarium, and mini golf, in addition to numerous stores and restaurants. To get there, walk to the at the Warehouse District / Hennepin stop and hop on the south bound Blue Line train toward Mall of America.

Minnehaha Falls

If you love to hike, Minnehaha Falls is a beautiful park that is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Minneapolis.

Mill City Museum

The museum features exhibits about the history of Minneapolis, flour milling machinery, a water lab and a baking lab. The centerpiece of the exhibit is the multistory Flour Tower, where visitors sit in the cab of a freight elevator and are taken to different floors of the building, each designed to look like a floor in a working flour mill.
