Ballard is a very walkable area with tons of cute restauraunts/bars with easy access to Seattle. Staying in an airbnb or vacation rental is an awesome option! However, there is lots of hotel options that are 10-20 minutes away. Fremont and Queen Anne neighborhoods will be the closest!

The Ballard Inn, originally the American-Scandinavian Bank, has been completely renovated and restored to its 1902 elegance. Fair warning some of the hotel rooms don't include a private bathroom en suite. Cheaper option than Hotel Ballard though.
