Welcome to our "getting hitched" website & thank you for visiting! We're so glad you're here. :) We are very excited to (finally) be getting married this year and hope that you can join us for the celebration. We’ve created this website as a helpful resource for all of the need-to-know details in the lead up to our big day. Please come back often, as we will be adding new details regularly! And finally, thanks so much for all of your love and support so far! We can’t wait to share this special day with all of our favorite people.
Our love story began in Bristol, Connecticut, back in the late summer of 2013. Both of us were starting out our careers in the “sports industry” at ESPN. We were two people from completely different places in the country, but immediately felt at home with one another and became close friends. Fast forward to a few weeks later, it was time for the annual ESPN company picnic at the local amusement park. We met up with a few friends, but were definitely glad to run into each other again (and outside of work). As we looked up at the 185ft drop tower ride, he asked “would you be my riding partner?” . . . and that was the question which started it all. Of course the answer was YES. From that moment on, we never let each other go. What started as a friendship, grew into a 7+ year relationship . . . with many more years to come. On November 13th, 2021 we would love for you to be a part of our forevership.
On the beautiful day of August 17, 2019, Erich planned a total surprise that Michela didn’t know he had in him. ;) Erich recruited a few of Michela's close friends to help organize "a girls day trip” to Block Island, Rhode Island. (Thanks for the help, AB & AP!) After working through logistics and planning for the different ferries to the island, Erich, accompanied by Mike and Dawn Sibilia (Michela’s Massachusetts parents) boarded the ferry with a diamond in his pocket and some nerves in his stomach. He wasn’t just nervous to pop the question, he was nervous because he had to make sure Michela and her friends got on another ferry at a different location & time so they didn’t run into each other. (The girls didn’t miss the ferry… but it was close!) So the six of them were all headed to Block Island, RI… everyone in on the plan, except Michela. While the girls were researching things to do in Block Island, Michela immediately said she would love to see the Mohegan Bluffs (without knowing this is where Erich had already planned to make his move)! The girls arrived to the 200 ft bluffs and there was a beach at the bottom, with a set of about 150 stairs to get down first. Good thing the girls were okay with climbing down some rocks and stairs that day in flip flops and sundresses. Erich was already waiting at the bottom. Once they saw one another, (Michela in awe at this time) he took her to a special spot on the beach and got down on one knee to officially make both of them a fiancé. We are so excited to have you celebrate this huge moment in our lives with us. See you at Pen Ryn Mansion!
