Things To Do

Here are some things to do and see in the greater Tulum area. The Mayan ruins, and the Cenotes of the Yucatan are not to be missed! Cenotes are underground chambers or caves that contain permanent water. They are beautiful places to see and, often, swim. Punta Allen

Located in the Sian Kaan Biosphere (the 2nd largest water reserve in the world), Punta Allen is a small colorful fisherman village.

Chunyaxché (Muyil)

Chunyaxché, Q.R. 77134, Mexico

A beautiful lagoon named for "where the sky is born". Afternoon tours are available (and can be combined with Tulum Ruins in the morning). This includes a tour guide, a boat ride in the laguna, and a float down the lazy river.

Coba

Coba, Q.R. 77793, Mexico

A mayan site where you can visit the highest Mayan Palace Temple in the South of Mexico. This would require a full day tour with active climbing of the ruins, a mayan family meal, and a sunset view of Tulum.

Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza, Playa del Carmen, Q.R. 77717, Mexico

Chichen Itza is listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Full day tours are available.
