Vietnamese Tea Ceremony for Family

Due to the traditional custom of this event, this will be a family only event, please refer to your invitation. We look forward to celebrating with friends the following day on August 30th! Please dress in cocktail or semi-formal attire to honor the significance of the tea ceremony. Ladies: A mid to long length dress or jumpsuit. Please avoid wearing black or short dresses. Traditional áo dài are welcome if you’d like to embrace the culture. Gentlemen: A suit or dress shirt and pants.
IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION: If you’re attending the Tea Ceremony, the closest airports to the Tran Residence are Oakland and San Francisco International Airports. Once you arrive, we recommend renting a car, taking a taxi, or using a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft to get to Danville, California. Although flying into OAK or SFO, the closest airport to Grand Island Mansion is Sacramento Airport. Although, we hope you're able to stick around and turn your trip into a little California getaway! Please note: This pre-wedding event is approximately 75 miles or a 1.5 hour drive away from Walnut Grove, where the wedding will be held the following day. We understand that traveling between these two locations may be a bit of a distance, and we completely understand if attending both events isn’t feasible for you. To help us plan accordingly, please RSVP for both events so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Complimentary Shuttle

We will be providing a shuttle to and from Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento. Even if you are not staying at the Hyatt Centric, we highly recommend utilizing our complimentary shuttle service to and from Grand Island Mansion. You may park your vehicle at a nearby garage—**Downtown Commons Central Garage**, located at **414 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814** and walk to the hotel to meet the shuttle. This option allows you to avoid driving along the narrow, one-way road by the river, which can be difficult to navigate. We want you to relax, enjoy the celebration, and leave the logistics to us! If you wish to utilize our complimentary shuttle, please be sure to submit your shuttle RSVP so we can have an accurate headcount! More shuttle details to come as we get closer. Check back soon!
Wedding Ceremony and Reception
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
13415 Grand Island Road, Walnut Grove, CA 95690
This will be a Black-Tie event. Please come dressed in your best, such as a floor-length dresses, tuxedos with black neckties or bowties.
The ceremony will start promptly at 6pm with the reception to follow. We kindly ask guests to plan their arrival for 10-15 minutes before 6pm. Please plan ahead! If you wish to forgo the complimentary shuttle and drive yourself, you may do so. There will be plenty of free parking at the venue. The roads to get to and from the venue are river roads, with one lane going in each direction. Since it is Labor Day Weekend, there may be traffic. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before start time, so you're not late to our ceremony.
