Megan was born in Visalia, California, to Sundi and Kenneth Gregory. As a middle child between her older sister Makena and younger brother CK. She spent her childhood loving animals, the outdoors, and sports, always the happiest in the sunshine or on a court. She attended Cuesta College, where she played basketball before tearing her ACL, eventually moving back home to then graduate from College of the Sequoias. After graduating, Megan visited Maui on a family vacation and instantly fell in love with the island. Something about it felt peaceful, grounding, and familiar. After the world shifted in 2020, she felt called back. She made the move to Maui and began bartending at Cheeseburger in paradise, not knowing the island was about to change her life forever. Andy was born in New Jersey to Kathy and Alan Michaels, and older brother Jeff. Growing up between New Jersey and California, he learned early that home isn't just in one place, it's wherever life leads you and wherever you feel most alive. After graduating college in Oneonta, New York, Andy worked in New York City for several years before moving to Maui. After a few jobs, he landed at Cheeseburger in Paradise on Front St. and that's where he met Megan. At the original Cheeseburger in Paradise, on Front St. in historic Lahaina town, Megan and Andy's eyes first met in the cozy upstairs kitchen. It was one of those quiet unexplainable moments when time stopped, and neither of them forgot it. Andy started sitting at Megan's bar after work, having a beer just to talk a little longer. Conversations turned into laughter, and laughter turned into something undeniable. He gave her his number. She called. And just like that, their first date was set. Their first date took place at the Sea House at Napili Kai - a restaurant that has been welcoming guests since 1964 at one of Maui's most beautiful beachfront resorts. Upon meeting Megan for the date, Andy also got to meet Jean-Pierre for the first time. After chasing him around the beach and and playing with him, Andy was impressed with how much love Megan had to give. They sat at the bar, shared dinner, watched the sun melt into the ocean, and talked if they had known each other forever. That night, walking across the little bridge at Napili Kai, they shared their first kiss. From that day on, they were inseparable. Megan, Andy, and Jean Pierre moved into their first home together at the Coconut Inn in Napili. Life became morning coffee, beach walks, long shifts, shared dreams, and building something steady and real. In February 2025, during one of their nightly walks with Pierre, they stopped at one of his favorite spots. As Pierre handled his business, Andy handled his- getting down on one knee with a beautiful Tiffany ring and asked Megan to marry him. She said yes without hesitation. Now on October 10, 2026, they are returning to where it all began, Napili Kai and the Seahouse, to promise forever in the very place they had their first fate four years earlier. Jean Pierre will proudly serve as ring-bearer, prime rib will be served (their favorite), and they cannot wait to celebrate this full-circle moment with the people they love the most.
