Due South is a great modern southern restaurant with a great brunch! It is right across from the wedding venue.
The Smithsonian museums will hopefully be fully open at the time of the wedding. There is always something going on and plenty of museums to see here. It is a must if this is your first time to D.C.!
Osteria Morini is a semi-formal sit down Italian restaurant close to the wedding venue. It's a good spot for a nice dinner if you are staying nearby.
The weekend of June 11 is historically D.C. Pride weekend. Festivities start on Friday and end on Sunday. Sunday is typically the festival in downtown which we can go to after brunch on Sunday! For those coming up on Friday, look around for all the bars and parties. Dupont Circle is one of the DC's gay neighborhoods and has several gay bars; Logan Circle has Number9 and Trade; and U Street has Nellie's, Uproar, and the Dirty Goose.
Albi is Arabic for "my heart" and is a great eastern Mediterranean restaurant on the michelin guide.
For those looking for some outdoor activities, you can rent kayaks and paddle boards at the wharf.
