It all began on November 12th, 2014 at Dan’s Fall Fraternity Date Party. Victoria received a last-minute invitation to attend the AEPi party with a stranger, and Dan brought some friends to have a stress-free good time. Dan spotted Victoria on the dance floor and began inquiring about that girl with the beautiful brown curly hair and bright smile. After a few months of social networking (also known as persistently bugging each and every one of his friends who knew her to put them in touch), Dan asked Victoria to the following fraternity party as his date. He picked her up from her dorm room, danced with her all night long, walked her home, and then asked to get lunch with her the following week. The rest, as they say, is history. They graduated from Johns Hopkins University together in 2017 and moved to the Boston area. Dan moved to Waltham to start his Masters Program at Brandeis University, and Victoria moved to Brookline to start her career. They lived in the Boston area until the Fall of 2019, when Dan moved to California to start his PhD Program at Stanford. Dan and Victoria did long distance until Victoria joined Dan in California in the Fall of 2020. The couple is now living together for the first time! On July 18th 2020, while Dan and Victoria were spending their last weekend together in Boston before Victoria’s Brookline lease expired, Dan “made a reservation” for an early brunch at a beloved restaurant in Boston’s Seaport. Dan made clear to Victoria that, after months of quarantining, this was their first date together and it was imperative to look nice. As Victoria and Dan walked along the water to the restaurant, they came upon a blanket with flowers, champagne, a beautiful photo album, and a handmade box with memories of their relationship. Dan got down on one knee and proposed. Dan and Victoria’s families then appeared out of nowhere with big smiles, a professional photographer, and assorted breakfast foods from the couple’s favorite Boston café.
