If you have time to explore, we highly recommend visiting Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater! Just 20-30 minutes from Denver, this iconic open-air amphitheater is surrounded by towering red rock formations and incredible views. When there’s no concert scheduled, you can wander the amphitheater, take photos, or join the locals running the stairs. For a quick hike, the Trading Post Trail is a beautiful and easy 1.5-mile loop with a trailhead near the Trading Post parking lot. On concert days the amphitheater typically closes in the afternoon for show prep, so mornings are the best time to visit. Bring water, sunscreen, and comfy shoes! ☀️🥾
If you’re looking for a nice place for a walk, check out Cheesman Park. It’s a beautiful park with wide paths, open lawns, and views of the historic Cheesman Park Pavilion. We spent a lot of our early dates here walking our dogs and getting to know each other, so it’s a spot that’s pretty special to us. It’s perfect for a relaxed stroll or enjoying a sunny Denver afternoon.
