I'm Arriving Friday, Now What?

Answer

Please join us for a welcome event on Friday night at 39 Rue de Jean in their upstairs private room. We’ll have beer, wine, light bites, and live music to kick off the weekend!

Is There Transportation Provided To/From the Reception?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided for guests staying in our room blocks at each of the three designated hotels.

What Time Should I Arrive at the Ceremony?

Answer

Shuttles will depart from the designated room block hotels at 4:15 PM. Guests staying at other accommodations are kindly asked to arrive at the venue no later than 4:45 PM, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM.

What's going on for the After Party?

Answer

After the reception, the same shuttles from earlier will swing by each of our hotel blocks, giving guests about 15 minutes to freshen up or change into something more comfortable before heading to the after party at The Blind Tiger. The after party will be held in a semi-private space on the outdoor patio, and we’d love for all our guests to join us — no matter where you’re staying! If you're not in the room block, The Blind Tiger is just a quick 5-minute ride from the venue, and all guests will be able to skip the line upon arrival.

Is There Anything Going on for Sunday Morning?

Join us for a farewell breakfast on Sunday at the Francis Marion Hotel! We'll be gathering from 9:00 to 11:00 AM for anyone still in town or waiting for flights. Feel free to stop by for a proper breakfast or just a quick coffee and bite before heading out!

Is There a Dress Code?

Answer

The dress code for Saturday is formal attire. We warmly encourage guests to embrace their 'Southern best'—think pastels, florals, linens, and light, airy colors. To help us create a soft, springtime atmosphere, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing black, if possible.

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

If your invitation is addressed as "Your Name & Guest," please feel free to bring someone if you would like. Due to venue restrictions, we are unfortunately not able to give everyone a plus one.

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

We love all of the children in our life, but due to space, we simply couldn't invite all of them. Please refer to your invitation to confirm if it addressed to "And Family"

Will the Event Be Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

A mix of both! Our ceremony will be outdoors in the courtyard, followed by cocktail hour within the rooms of the manor, followed by dinner and dancing back in the courtyard. In the event of rain, the venue will provide a tented space to keep everyone dry and warm.

Where Can I Get My Hair and Makeup Done Locally?

Answer

There are a ton of local hair and makeup salons in Downtown Charleston you should be able to book directly at. One of which, Gibson Hair and Makeup offers all the services you might need. There is also a local beauty service called RingMyBelle that will come to your hotel. Drybar is also a few blocks away in downtown Charleston!

What's the Weather Usually Like in Charleston in May?

Answer

The weather in Charleston is usually a comfortable temperature of 78 during the day, with a low of 65 at night. The outdoor space will have heaters in the event is cooler than expected.
