Kevin and Hanna met in history class on the first day of high school. They remained good friends until they made their relationship official in their junior year. They tackled four years of long-distance while Hanna attended James Madison University in Virginia and Kevin completed his dual degree at Drexel in Philadelphia. After graduation, they moved in together and have not been apart since.

On Labor Day weekend, Kevin insisted on taking Hanna early to Cape May for breakfast. She thought he was kidding when he showed up at 7 a.m. Nonetheless, they drove to Cape May and ended up on a quiet beach at the end of the island. Kevin proposed and they spent the morning in downtown Cape May together before joining their families to celebrate at Cape May winery. It was perfect!
