Where to begin...we had known of each other through mutual friends growing up, but the flame was lit at a summer camp that we were both volunteering at as counselors. We talked and laughed late into the night and had an instant connection. Our path since then has not been a linear one (to say the least) with several peaks and valleys. But we found our way back into each other's arms at last!

I proposed to her at Walden Pond! It held a special place in both of our hearts, as it was where we celebrated our very first dating anniversary. I set up a picnic in the woods off the trail, and as we walked together she noticed the picnic setup, at which point I got down on one knee and popped the question!

Michael just graduated with his MBA from UNC, we're getting married June 26th, moving to Seattle in July, starting a new job in August and celebrating many family events in between! Mark your calendars for our South African wedding celebration coming April 2023!
