Hello Friends and Family, We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! For many of you, this may be your first time visiting the French countryside, so we want to help make travel as simple as possible. Below you’ll find local lodging options—from charming cottages to elegant hotels—along with recommended airport and train routes. We suggest renting a car upon arrival and driving to the venue, and booking flights and trains as early as possible for the best prices. The most direct option is to fly into Bordeaux or Toulouse, pick up a rental car, and drive to the venue. Don’t worry about the small roads—the venue is tucked into the countryside, and the drive is part of the charm. Another option is to fly into Paris, spend a night or two there, then take the train from Gare Montparnasse to Bordeaux Saint-Jean. Rental cars are available just across the tracks, marked “voiture de location.”

TGV- Paris to Bordeaux

To preview Paris & take an enjoyable train ride over, the TGV is the bullet train that takes you from Paris to Bordeaux (and vice versa) in under 3 hours. It is comfortable and a great way to experience the French scenery. If you’re flying into Paris, we recommend using this train to expedite travel into Bordeaux.

This Is a little cottage right down the road from where the ceremony will be happening. It's a cozy and comfortable cottage with a pool and everything you would need. The owners are friends of the Ackermans family and are always very kind. they only have a limited amount of rooms available so make sure you book ahead of time!
