MICHAELINE & YEMI: OUR LOVE, OUR STORY
From the moment we met, we knew we was soul mates. I'm the happiest when I am with him.
On a beautiful sat during the pandemic, I was scrolling through some profiles on a dating site. In person dating was no longer an option at that time. I stumbled on the most beautiful smile that I have ever seen, I decided to summon the courage to send her a message. She did not respond to my first message, but I knew i had to get to know her. I never relented, I sent her another message a few days later and she finally responded. I was so excited. We exchanged a couple of messages, and after sometimes we started to speak directly over the phone. We would talk for hours on the phone and completely lost track of time. I looked forward to speaking to her everyday and every night before I went to sleep. I knew this one felt different. Our connection was scary and we yearned for each other. Then came our first date, I was so nervous but I was able to control my nerves. We finally met, and our connection felt like a magnet. We talked for hours and we both agreed to go on a second date, after the second date, I knew that she was the one I couldn't live without. The person I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I did everything in my power to make her feel like a queen and let her know I will always be by her side. The rest is history! I can't wait to see her in that gorgeous white gown and finally be able to call her my wife.
The proposal was perfect. I had no idea it was going to happen that day. My lying friends (Princess and Sancia) told me we were celebrating a graduation. I was very annoyed at the fact they wanted me to get dressed in New Jersey, but wanted to be supportive. The day was a bit weird, now looking back, but at the time I wasn't paying much attention to it. He tricked me by saying he needed to stop at home and wanted me to come in quickly. When I opened the door, I was overjoyed with how beautiful it was. My friends and families were all lined up to give me roses. It was so beautiful. The last person at the end of the line was Yemi, and he had a bouquet of red roses. He handed them to me and held my hands leading me to the heart shaped backdrop, roses petals and candles. It was even more beautiful. I stayed to cry tears of joy. I was truly overjoyed. He got on his knees and popped the question. I couldn't wait to say yes yes yes...
