Michael and I met playing football in the fall of 2016. Neither of us was in the market for a significant other, but we were still friends and played sports together. In the spring of 2017, we both became single around the same time, and we talked to each other about our break ups and kind of got to know each other better. I knew he had a kind, caring heart. Talking to him was definitely a breath of fresh air! We continued talking and hanging out with our teammates or double dates with friends, until he made it "official" in June. Then a whirlwind of events made us closer, especially seeing the raw reality of what life can throw you. Broken bones, lay-offs, deaths, job changes, and relocation were just a few of the major things we dealt with our first year of dating. It made our bond stronger, because at the end of every 12 hour shift or out of town client, we would still have each other for positive encouragement and support. In the last year, we've enjoyed short trips, sports tournaments, and camping. Wherever we go, adventure follows. There's never a dull moment between us. Our paths led us to each other, and we've never doubted that God intended for things to happen the way they did. We are so excited to become husband and wife and so thankful for our friends and family who support us along our journey! <3
