Best Man
How do you describe my best man and what he means to me… We both came to Tallahassee in 1986 to come to FSU and be a part of the Marching Chiefs. We both pledged Kappa Kappa Psi in Spring of 1987 and grew as friends and had leadership positions in the fraternity. Then we graduated and both started our careers and lives and lost touch. By accident, or fate, in 2017, as I was jogging to the Intramural fields to meet friends after a Chiefs Alumni board meeting I hear a horn and sure enough Paul and Candy and their kids Kenneth and Savannah we also going to the IM fields. I hitched a ride with them and we reconnected and been good friends ever since. As Tiff said we were honored to be their kids “Tally Parents” while they went to FSU and Paul, Candy, Tiff and myself have traveled, brought each other into our homes and most importantly created lasting memories. At this phase of my life it’s an honor to have my fraternity brother and great friend to be by my side in this special day.

Have you guys ever looked at someone and felt “that’s my sista from another mista!” That FSU spring game Tailgate where I met Candy Ryan I just knew it. It literally is almost scary on how we just connected! From crazy football seasons to “Framily traveling adventures we have laughed cried and few “was that a good idea” moments. Her and Paul trusted us with their children to fill in as “parents” when they were away at college. There is no one else I would be more honored to have standing with me as I marry my best friend.

From “omg who’s that girl” to “yall that’s my gurl!” Patty Ketts has been one of the friends that I have leaned on in good times in bad. She has the most amazing outlook on life and has had my back in every situation I can imagine. From weekday wine chats to “the group travels” we have been by each other’s side. And now as I marry one of her besties I’m honored to call her my bestie.
