Michael and I met in 2010 when he worked for the same company as my mother. When he realized who my mom was and knowing of me from mutual friends and small town living, he messaged me on Facebook. We would end up talking back and forth on Facebook message, until we finally exchanged numbers. As I say, its like he just showed up one day, and never left my side. We would end up hanging out quite frequently and became close friends. Although it seemed Michael wanted us to be official far quicker than I was ready for, his persistence would pay off. Michael fought for my love. It took me awhile but I would come to realize he was always going to love me for me, someone I could always trust, and the one who would always be there. After spending the majority of our time together for about a year and a half we finally made "us" official in 2012 (true date to be determined). Yes, I told you he fought hard. (-: Michael and I together have been through the highs and the lows of life and have been tested when it comes to keeping a strong relationship. We have made a house a home and welcomed our four legged daughter and buddle of happiness in March of 2012.
Michael proposed to me on the day before my 30th birthday. I thought we were just going to a low key birthday dinner with my parents at Martin City Brewery, but as to my surprise not only were my parents there, but all my family who live nearby, and my closest of friends. So I thought he did it again, another big surprise birthday party. However, the fun and surprise did not end there as my friend directed us out to take a group picture. It was there that Michael so nervously turned to me and told me he loved me and got down on one knee. I was so surprised and had no idea this was even going to happen. I didn't even have the slightest clue so that I could in secret practice my facial expression (the non-ugly cry face). However, I can now always say the last day of my twenties went out with a BIG BANG..... and forever memorable.
