Father John has been our amazing counselor and guide through this process. He is a retired military chaplain of the Air Force and comes from a Carpatho Russian background and is now in the Greek church. It's a beautiful combination for us and amazing grace from the Lord.

Koumbaro & Koumbara
The Koumbaro and Koumbara play an important role during the marriage ceremony. They are responsible for exchanging the wedding crowns, or Stefana, three times during the ceremony. In addition, they also perform the ring exchange.

The first reading is the Epistle, taken from Ephesians 5:20-33. It reminds us that the love Christ has for His People, the Church, is the same love a husband and wife must have for one another.
