Many of you know, Michael and Tane met through their mutual job with United. Many of you may not know that the story wasn’t so simple. FEBRUARY Despite the fact that Michael and Tane had several mutual flight attendant friends, they had never crossed paths. One day, Tane and her roommate, Bianca, were at the airport waiting on their friend, Dominick, at his gate. Bianca would soon be leaving her job with United, and the three wanted a few last pictures together in uniform. This is where Michael came into the story, as the impromptu photographer. He had worked the flight in with Dominick, and kindly agreed to help them. This lead to their first picture together. They caught each others attention, but nothing came of it. MAY Michael and Tane were assigned a trip together. The connection was instant. They laughed, created messes, made bets to buy each other coffee. The trip was only 2 days, but it left them thinking about each other. But, things didn’t develop immediately. Tane took the summer to sort her own priorities, and Michael waited patiently. AUGUST Tane had decided she would be moving away from Denver. She asked Michael to go on one last trip to Japan with her. While they planned their trip, their hearts grew closer. When they were in Japan, Michael confessed his feelings for her. He knew Tane was the one he had been looking for, and he was thoughtful and cared for her heart. Once they were back in Denver, Tane put her plans on hold to see where things were going. It wasn’t long before she knew Michael was the one for her. MARCH They had plans to go back to their favorite destination, Japan, for cherry blossom season. Little did Tane know, Michael had plans to propose. He scouted the area for days, looking for the right spot. They went out early one quiet morning for a walk under the cherry blossoms. Tane hugged Michael, “Why is your heart beating so fast?” He took the moment and got down on one knee. Yes!
