Mike was smitten when Suzy walked through the doors of her new job, but to Suzy, Mike was just a new and friendly colleague. However, with a lucky coin on his side, Mike found himself in the lovely company of Miss Suzy Frances as his golfing partner at a local charity golf tournament. Eighteen holes and a life story...or two later, a deep friendship began. Their friendship grew into love. She loves the Patriots and Pinot, he yells "War Eagle" and fancies Michelob Ultra; she's preppy, he's old school conservative; BUT they have a love that's all their own and regardless they certainly have a lot of FUN!

At the highest point in Birmingham, AL- on top of Red Mountain where the steel mills once reigned, Mike got down on one knee, with fireworks blasting overhead, Mike did what he promised himself he'd never do again- asked Suzy to marry him and be his partner in life. She OBVIOUSLY said yes and this Bostonian became one step closer to being an Alabamian for life.
