Second Time Around

Michael and I meet way back in 1976. I had just graduated from Rolling Hills High School and he had just graduated from Loyola Marymount. We meet at a party at the Del Ray Players. We dated for a while, parted our ways and remained friends. As any good story goes, we lost contact. I had married and so had Michael and we each began to build our lives.
One day, about 6 years back, I happened to be on a mutual friend’s Facebook account and I saw Michael’s profile photo…at least it was a picture of the back of his head. I dropped a friend request and we connected. We exchanged e mails and meet up for a day when he came to visit Portland and some old friends of his, who were living in Portland. He walked out of the elevator and the rest is history.
After a year of texting, phone calls and visits Michael moved up here. We lived about 5 miles apart. When the pandemic happened and we went into lockdown, we had each other. By the end of 2020 we bought a house and moved in together.
