We've chosen not to limit your options so you can select a spot that feels right for you in NYC! For out of town visitors, we’ve listed our recommendations for hotels nearby on the 'travel' page of our wedding website.
Our Saturday wedding venue operates under seated capacity limitations, therefore invites have been addressed to individuals we are able to accommodate on our big day. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
The best way to get to our events on Friday and Saturday is by uber, lyft, or taxi. All of the recommended hotels are walking distance or < 10 minute drive from the event locations.
There is limited parking available at River Cafe. If you plan on driving, please let us know in advance so we can make sure to accommodate everyone!
For Friday night, we recommend guests have fun and dress up in Indo-western cocktail attire. For Saturday, the dress code is black tie.
Totally up to you! We’re not enforcing a dress code when it comes to Indian vs. Western clothes, so wear what you feel best in within the overall attire guides. Friday is indo-western cocktail attire- think festive and fun (dresses, suits, lehengas, kurtas… a blend of styles is welcome). Saturday is black tie- gowns and indian formalwear (sarees etc.) for women, tuxes for men. There will definitely be some family and guests in Indian clothes, and others in Western throughout the weekend, so truly no pressure either way.
Yes, absolutely. The River Cafe will inquire with each guest about dietary restrictions and food allergies. Any and all restrictions, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free can be accommodated. Please let your waiter know when you sit down for dinner on Saturday. If you require a Kosher meal, please let us know as those will have to be arranged for ahead of time.
