For the adventurous travelers, Salvation Mountain is located about 45 minutes north of El Centro, just east of the Salton Sea. It is truly unique, standing 50 feet tall and 150 feet wide. It was constructed by artist Leonard Knight, and is made totally of local adobe clay and donated paint. From its Sea of Galilee at the bottom, to the big red heart in the middle, to the cross at the very top, the recurring theme of "Love" is everywhere at Salvation Mountain.
This 9 hole course has a nice assortment of yardages that vary between 104 and 424 yards making it perfect for beginners or those working on improving their game. Golfers will enjoy peaceful setting with lakes, mountain views and beautifully manicured greens and fairways. Enjoy practicing on the putting green and driving range before you tee off. Additional facilities include a putting green, chipping area, and driving range. The golf shop patio area is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of the setting sun while sipping on a cool drink.
