Why Tofino?

Answer

We want to share our love of living in the Pacific Northwest by having a destination wedding in Canada. With the incredible mountains framing the coast, Tofino captures all of our favorite parts of nature. We are no strangers to a great adventure and a windy road trip. Tofino is a place where we get to share that with you. We can't wait to celebrate with 30 of our closest friends and family.

How do I get to Tofino?

We've put together detailed instructions based on where you will be flying into or driving from. With how remote Tofino is, please keep in mind travel times and potential delays. Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Yes! Tofino is a small town without Uber/Lyft. There is a local rideshare company called Coastal Rides and a single taxi in the area, but we would recommend renting a car to get around. For the wedding, the venue will offer free valet parking to guests.

Should I book my ferry in advance?

Answer

Absolutely. BC Ferries and the Black Ball Ferry Line often sell out their sailings. It is highly advised to make a reservation for both your arriving and departing ferries ahead of time. Use this website to reserve with BC Ferries: www.bcferries.com

Where should I stay in Tofino?

Answer

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We know it is quite a journey to get to Tofino! We will be hosting a Sunset Welcome for all guests on Friday, October 3. This event will be listed on your RSVP. We will be hosting you for drinks and a light, casual dinner.

What should I pack for my trip to Tofino?

Answer

Aside from your usual travel packing list, here are some packing recommendations for Tofino: - Rubber boots or waterproof walking shoes – Beach walks and tidepools are more fun with dry feet! - Wool socks – They keep you warm, but not too warm, even if you get wet. - Raincoat or windbreaker - Bathing suit – For all of your cold plunging, hot tub excursions, or hot spring adventures. - Clothes/shoes for heading into town – Think casual layers, Pacific Northwest beach town - Sunglasses/sunscreen - Refillable water bottle – Tofino was the first town in BC to ban single-use plastics, so be sure to pack your water bottle for easy refilling

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

There is no wedding registry. We kindly request no gifts for our wedding. Celebrating with you is what we care about most! If you want to bring or send something, we would treasure a card with your well wishes.
