Our hotel is located in the 6th arrondissement in the center of Paris. It is considered by many to be the quintessential Parisian neighborhood; we chose this location because of the charming and walkable neighborhoods, the abundance of patisseries and cafés, and the close proximity to the Luxembourg Gardens!
After we get married in Paris, we are hopping on a train and traveling three hours south to Provence. We will be picking up a rental car so that we can travel freely around Southern France for the rest of our trip. Our home base for several days will be in Aix-en-Provence, a lively village with some of France's best outdoor markets and easy access to the other parts of the region that we'll be visiting!
The Luberon Villages are part of the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France," or "The Most Beautiful Villages of France." These small, rural villages typically have less than 2,000 residents and have maintained the architectural features that this beautiful region is known for. While we're in Provence, we'll be traveling to Loumarin, Bonnieux, and Gordes. More outdoor markets, wine tasting at chateaus, and dinners on the terrace overlooking the French countryside await us!
This is the part of the trip we might be most excited about! We are going to end our trip with several days in the South of France, visiting the beautiful towns and villages along the Côte d'Azur. We are staying in a cliffside chateau in Èze and during the day we are planning to visit Nice, Gordes, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Grasse, and Villefranche-sur-Mer.
