What COVID-19 precautions are in place?

Answer

- We will follow all state and local COVID policies. - The wedding ceremony itself is outdoors, while the dinner reception is indoors. - We anticipate that adults in attendance will be vaccinated; so far approximately 80% of guests have responded to our survey, all of whom report that they are vaccinated. - We will provide masks on entry, but feel free to bring your own if you'd prefer.

What are the most recent COVID guidelines in Chicago?

Answer

As of August 20th, there is a new mask mandate in Chicago, requiring masks to be worn by all individuals indoors (regardless of vaccination status). Also note that if you're not vaccinated, you will be required to obtain a negative COVID test within 72 hrs of arrival in Chicago if the following guidance applies: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid-19/home/emergency-travel-order.html

We are coming from somewhere that requires a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hrs of arrival. What are our options in Chicago?

Answer

We will keep this page updated as the wedding nears, but this shouldn't be a problem. The most important thing would be to book an appointment in advance. Select current options are: 1. Walgreens Pharmacy: As it is a drive-thru site, a car is required. Appointments can be booked here: https://www.walgreens.com/findcare/covid19/testing?ban=covidfy21_newtestingpg_heroban. 2. CVS Pharmacy: As it is a drive-thru site, a car is required. Appointments can be booked here: https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing. 3. O'Hare International Airport: Test recipients will need to show proof of flying (within 72 hours before their flight or five days after). Appointments can be booked here: https://www.flychicago.com/business/media/coronavirus/Pages/ordtest.aspx.
