Sarah and Michael met in 2011 when Michael went to St. John XXIII High School’s homecoming football game to ask their mutual friend, Alex Pacheco, to his homecoming dance at his high school, Strake Jesuit. Michael later invited Alex to an Aggie football game with his family (we played Oklahoma State), and with an extra ticket available, Alex invited Sarah to tag along. Back then Sarah and Michael never cared much for one another. Fast forward to 2016, Sarah and Michael ended up staffing Aggie Awakening 108 for the same table family. Michael began sitting with her and Corinne Martin everytime he saw them at St. Mary’s Catholic Center. Eventually, the three all started hanging out daily and with time Sarah and Michael became very close friends and eventually decided to start dating in May 16, 2017. And a year and a half later, after asking for Sarah’s parents’ approval of their marriage and months of intricate planning, Michael asked Sarah to be his bride under the traditional Century Tree on Texas A&M’s campus. The Aggie tradition states that if you walk under the Century Tree with your beloved, you two will be together forever, and that is what Sarah and Michael plan to do.
