We appreciate that many of our guests are resident physicians that need to give notice a year in advance. To accomodate for residency scheduling, we are sending out invitations before the 2024 residency calendar requests are due. We hope that you will add our special weekend into your 2024 vacation plans 😃
We encourage RSVP submission by July 31st. If you are unable to commit by this deadline, please reach out to Ryan or Michael directly to communicate this! Submitting this RSVP is separate from your hotel and travel bookings. We are happy to work with all of our invited guests to accomodate for their personal RSVP and hotel/travel needs.
LAX is the closest airport and will have the widest variety of airline companies, prices and times available. LAX is currently undergoing construction in preparation for the 2028 Olympics. When you land, regular ubers/lyfts/taxis cannot pick you up from the ramp. You will have to get in one of the green "rideshare" buses, which will take you to the designated uber/lyft/taxi area. Look for the "rideshare" signs to guide you to the bus stops. I highly recommend taking a taxi because it is a nightmare trying to order a uber/lyft ahead of time and finding the correct one. And the taxi line goes quicker. Uber black and Alto CAN pick you up from the arrivals level (bottom level).
Stay at the Terranea Resort! If this is not possible, stay as close to Rancho Palos Verdes, CA as possible.
We recognize and understand that many of our guests are on a resident physician or student budget, and that travelling from the Midwest or the East Coast is an added expense. For these reasons, we have bought down the price of a large handful of rooms at the Terranea Resort to $200 per night with no extra resort fees. Book through the link on the "Venue" tab. Please reach out to Ryan and/or Michael directly if you have any issues 🤗 Please note, when you book using the wedding block link, ignore the prices on there and think of this as just a reservation. It will require a card, however guests will not be charged anything until our wedding weekend. At that time, the prices will reflect the wedding block rate of $200 per night on your account, instead of the incorrect pricing that this link displays. Unfortunately, the resort was unable to edit their website. However, they have reassured us that with a wedding block reservation, our wedding block guests will only be charged $200 per night (with no extra resort fees). Resort fees that we are covering for guests that book in the wedding block include: daily resort fee, valet parking and tip, housekeeping and tip charges, taxes and porterage and tip charges Extra fees that guests will be responsible for if they choose: in-room dining, room service, spa treatments, beach/pool rentals, food/drink from on site restaurants, golfing rentals and reservations, tennis/racquet rentals and reservations, gift shop purchases, excursions, etc
I would recommend booking as early as possible! Much like all other travel, the earlier the better for affordability and timing flexibility. Additionally, keep in mind that desired times/seats/prices will be more in demand due to LA being a destination hot spot. Please plan accordingly and in advance! 🙃
As you may have heard, the traffic in LA can be madness! 🤪 With many of our guests not being accustomed to LA traffic, we chose a venue where all of our guests could stay as well. If you plan to commute anywhere in the greater LA area, give yourself 60+ minutes for commute time at the very least. And be mindful of rush hour traffic in the AMs and PMs. The apple maps app is a good judge of current traffic! And there is also a feature that allows you to search predicted traffic. I highly recommend using this for all of your commute planning!
Resort Casual = Can also be interpreted as California Casual. No jackets needed, more informal business casual, dinner date vibe Elevated resort clothing with nothing too casual, such as swimwear, hoodies, hats, jeans, etc. Black Tie Optional = Formal wear, tuxedo and tie not required. All colors for dresses/suits encouraged, as Ryan and I will be more traditional.
When you enter the Terranea grounds, there will be a parking Kiosk before you get to the main entrance. At this Kiosk there will be a parking attendant that will check you in and direct you where to go. Please tell the Kiosk worker that you are attending the Rosenberger/Steinke wedding and your parking for Friday and/or Saturday will be covered whether you are visiting the venue or if you are staying there. This will cover valet or self park, however we recommend valet since it'll be easier for you!
