Yes, there will be a cocktail hour beginning at 5:30pm prior to the reception beginning at 6:30pm. Enjoy our signature cocktail or feel free to satisfy your thirst with your choice of beverage at the open bar. There will also be some small bites to satisfy you until dinner is served during the reception.

Michael & Ryan recommend driving to the ceremony, where there will be parking available monitored by security (see details under the ceremony on the schedule page of the website). Please carpool to the ceremony if possible to save on number of vehicles. After the ceremony, Michael & Ryan recommend driving to your hotel to get checked in and settled before the cocktail hour and reception. There will be shuttle service available from the Courtyard Marriott to The Eastern (location of cocktail hour and reception) as well as return service at the end of the evening. If you are not staying at a hotel, there will also be parking available at The Eastern for your convenience.

The grooms very strongly encourage COVID-19 vaccination for your own protection and the protection of their friends and loved ones. If you have already completed the initial series of the COVID-19 vaccination, the grooms strongly encourage getting your booster prior to the wedding.
While COVID-19 testing is not required, if you are unvaccinated against COVID-19, it would be an added protection to the guests at Michael & Ryan's wedding to ensure you are COVID-19 negative prior to attending.
Respectfully, Michael & Ryan ask that you choose to stay home if you are feeling ill or unwell, especially if there is any concern for COVID-19, in order to keep their friends and family safe.

There will be shuttle service available from the Courtyard Marriott Detroit Downtown (Courtyard Marriott is about a 13 minute walk from The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit and is about a 4 minute walk from the Detroit Marriott at The Renaissance Center). The shuttle service will be available from the Courtyard Marriott to The Jam Handy (ceremony venue), from the Jam Handy back to the Courtyard Marriott, and also transportation from the Courtyard Marriott to The Eastern (reception venue).

Michael & Ryan do not have a registry. They are thankful for your presence, which they consider to be the most meaningful gift & all they truly desire. Should you feel inclined to give a gift & are compelled toward generosity, there will be a card box & gift table at the reception.
