Mike and Rosa met in AP Biology at Venice High School, when Mike was a Senior and Rosa was a Junior. Their relationship started to bloom at Mike's high school prom, in 2009, and continued to flourish through college. Rosa and Mike attended rival schools that were about an hour and a half away from each other, Rosa at USF (GO BULLS!) and Mike at UCF (GO KNIGHTS!). After finishing college, Rosa became a teacher and Mike began working for the PGA Tour in Jacksonville in 2016. It was then that they decided to move in together for the first time, this led to the next big step in their relationship. In December 2016 after 8 years of dating, Mike decided to pop the question. He asked Rosa to go on a walk with him at Venice Beach. They were walking down the beach under the moonlight talking about how much time they had spent there with each other over the years. As they reached the lifeguard stand and went up the ramp, Mike was talking about continuing making memories. He then got down on his knee and pulled out a ring box and asked Rosa to marry him, finally. Rosa of course said yes. After three years together in Richmond, Mike received a promotion in Charlotte to help assemble a tournament. Finally, after 11 years of dating, a couple of moves and a Covid wedding delay, they are ready to say "I Do!"

Mike y Rosa se conocieron en Biologia Advanzada en Venice High School, cuando Mike estaba en el duodecimo grado y Rosa en undecimo grado. Su relación comenzó a florecer en el baile de graduación de Mike en la escuela secundaria, en 2009, y continuó floreciendo en la universidad. Rosa y Mike asistieron a escuelas rivales que estaban a una hora y media de distancia, Rosa en USF (GO BULLS!) Y Mike en UCF (GO KNIGHTS!). Después de terminar la universidad, Rosa se convirtió en maestra y Mike comenzó a trabajar para la Gira Profesional de Asociaciones de Golf en Jacksonville en 2016. En febrero de 2017, Mike recibió una promoción para mudarse a Richmond, Virginia y ayudar a organizar un torneo. Rosa se quedó en Jacksonville para terminar el año escolar antes de mudarse para unirse a él. Finalmente, después de 11 años de estar juntos y un par de movimientos, están listos para decir "¡Sí, quiero!"
