We had spent the last 2 months practically attached at the hip. Our freshman year of high school had begun in August and the two of us quickly discovered that we had first, second, AND third period together. I remember standing in front of Michael's desk as he packed his stuff into his backpack after our first period class. He looked up and seemed a bit surprised to see me there waiting for him so we could walk to second period together. After that, there was basically no separating us. For the next four years, we spent every break and lunch in front of Michael's locker, the exact place he asked me to be his girlfriend on October 24th, 2012.
I decided to take Riley to The Grand Canyon for our eight year anniversary. I had known for many years that she would one day be my wife and known for many months that this trip was going to be when I asked her. I hid the ring underneath the spare tire in the trunk, and we hit the road to Arizona. After a long day of beautiful views of the Grand Canyon including an hour long helicopter ride, I made the easiest decision of my life in asking Riley to be my wife.
On the night of 2/26/2022, Riley was full term and ready to pop. We headed to Kaiser, Anaheim, and Riley was admitted to Triage and eventually Labor and Delivery. I had the luxury of waiting in my car in the parking lot for over 5 hours until she was fully admitted into L&D. Chandler was born at 8:32pm on 2/27/2022. 7 months old now, Chandler is healthy as an ox and the happiest baby. She is constantly smiling, loves to stand (with assistance), and has two teeth! Chandler has completely changed our life for the best and we can't imagine not having her be a part of our family.
