Poet’s Table
Nestled deep in the Black Hills, Poet's Table can be difficult to find but that's all apart of the adventure! This seclusive area is a perfect spot for reflection and rest. Mikey and I spent two days looking for it and found it on the second day after looking for about 10 minutes.
Custer State Park
Perfect for buffalo sighting, hiking, paddle boarding or kayaking, camping, and all things outdoors. Custer State Park was where I spent the majority of my childhood summers and is breathtakingly gorgeous. Mikey and I have gone on several drives out here and love to enjoy the nature.
Needles Highway Scenic Overlook
This scenic drive is an absolute must if you're spending time in the Black Hills. There really isn't anything quite like it.
Falling Rock Overlook
The falling rock trail is only about 7 minutes and the view is incredible! This is right by our venue so if you catch yourself having PLENTY of time before the wedding, this scenic overlook won't disappoint.
Stratobowl Rim Trailhead
This 20 minute hike is right near my house and a regular spot for me and Mikey.
Hippie Hole Trail
For the crazy cliff jumpers. Mikey and I went together the first summer we were dating!
Black Elk Peak Trail
This hike is for those who want to be challenged but is well worth the view as the highest point in South Dakota!
Mount Rushmore National Memorial
A classic.
Armadillos Ice Cream Shoppe
This place is legendary and the best ice cream in the Black Hills. Mikey and I met my family here after he proposed to celebrate!
Alpine Inn
This place has incredible steak and is a fun environment. It's really easy to order here because all they have on the menu is steak--you just have to say is how you want it cooked.
