Most guests can easily get from O'Hare to Lake Forest by rideshare or taxi, so a car is not absolutely necessary. If you'd like to explore the North Shore or Chicago and have more flexibility during your stay, you may find a rental car convenient.
Formal attire is requested. We invite guests to wear suits and ties, elegant cocktail dresses, long gowns, and dressy separates.
If there's one thing we know about April in Chicago, is that it's unpredictable! It could be 65 and sunny or we could see a snowflake or two. Expect cool mornings and evenings, mild daytime temperatures, and the possibility of rain. We suggest packing layers and a light jacket, so you're prepared for whatever the forecast decides to do!
We do not have a gift registry, and gifts are not expected. Having you celebrate with us is the greatest gift we could ask for!
