For men, this means a suit or dress shirt and tie, and for women think cocktail dresses, evening gowns, or a formal ensembles. Feel free to get creative! For our wedding, we encourage guests to add their personal flair with vibrant colors, playful patterns, and bold fashion choices! We want you to feel comfortable, fun, and creative with your attire!

What is the weather typically like this time of year?

Answer

Our venue is mostly outdoors and late October in Richmond can bring temperatures from 50-75 degrees. There will be space heaters for cooler weather but it is a good idea to bring a jacket just in case!

What is the best way to get to Avonlea Farms?

Answer

If you are staying at the Residence Inn a shuttle will be provided to take you to and from the venue. For those driving, it is about a 30 minute drive from short pump to the venue. Can photos be taken during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present in the moment. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the special moments, and we can't wait to share those photos with you afterward! However, we encourage you to take plenty of photos during the reception and other parts of the celebration. There will be disposable cameras around the venue to help us capture memories!
