We first met in high school at wrestling practice. He was a freshman and I was a sophomore. I had been wrestling for a year and was very confident, not being the best partner to our new recruits. Coach Woo, who had been in the wrestling world a long time, knew Michael was a seasoned wrestler and decided to teach me a lesson on humility by pairing me with him. Michael was a bit shorter and skinnier, so I thought it would be easy to win. What I didn't know was that Michael had been wrestling since he was eight. He took me down and pinned me in about three seconds. In those seconds, I not only fell on my back, but I also fell in love. Sounds crazy, maybe a bit extra, but it's true, as you can see. After that, I decided I would become his girlfriend. I asked him out, he said yes, and that is where our story started. Over the years, we've learned so much about each other. We share a love for contact sports and staying active. We enjoy movie nights, even if I sometimes bombard him with questions! I've discovered his passion for documentaries and history books, while he's found my love of funny movies and fantasy novels. I've also witnessed his incredible determination and work ethic, and he's the best cook and griller I know. After 11 years, we know each other inside and out – our likes, dislikes, quirks, and all. We're partners in life and, most importantly, best friends. I cherish every moment with him; he simply makes me happy. We're excited for this marriage and are thrilled to share this journey with you.
